Palm Oil Seminar Series 2014 – Inaugural Session Success

The American Palm Oil Council, Malaysian Palm Oil Board and Global Agri-trade Corporation successfully launched the inaugural session of the 2014 Palm Oil Seminar Series at the Weston Long Beach in California on January 24. The Palm Oil Seminar Series is designed as a half day event where industry professionals can gather information about palm oil and its use in the North American market. The well attended event began with a opportunity for the attendees to meet over breakfast followed up by informative presentations and a question and answer session with our panel of palm oil experts.

Topics covered were:

· Developments in the Global Palm Oil Area by Fadzli Aziz, Executive Director, American Palm Oil Council

· Proposed FDA Rule to Ban Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oils and Nutritional Properties of Palm Oil by Johari Minal, Regional Manager, Malaysian Palm Oil Board

· Palm Oil Products As Cost Effective Alternatives for Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oils by Tiger Tangevalu, Technical Director, Global Agri-trade Corporation

· Supply and Demand of Certified Sustainable Palm Oil by Ryan Welton, Marketing Executive, Global Agri-trade Corporation / Natu’oil Services Inc.
